ALABAMA: EVALUATION BUSINESS SYSTEM SUPPLIER CHASSIS

In a very delicate launch situation of a new SUV, the complete business system of the tier1 "systems supplier chassis" in NAFTA including the contract relations to sub-suppliers was evaluated secretly. Result was a strict confidential M&A roadbook for a take-over of the tier1 responsibility and business by the OEM including organisation, timeline, costs, benefits, risks and technology.

In the end the OEM Board decided to keep the running business model with better conditions and harder cost- and quality targets, which were generated from the value analysis and the benchmarks of the study and executed.
