AKTUELLE CHANCE FÜR LIEFERANTEN NÄCHSTE C-KLASSE:

The Board of Daimler AG decided on December 7, 2009, to transfer 20% of next Mercedes-Benz C-class production volume from Sindelfingen to Tuscaloosa in Alabama in the calendar year 2014. According to Mercedes-Benz Development System MDS the suppliers have to expect that Daimler procurement will determine already in 2010 the sourcing strategy and the supplier set. Just afterwards in 2011 the orders for local supplies from NAFTA zone should be placed.

As quick as suppliers must develop and implement their business cases "C-class NAFTA". They can benefit for the time-critical strategic planning of an industrialisation, quotation process and realisation by more than 4 very specific experiences of INTERIM[4]AUTOMOTIVE:

  2. Knowledge of Tuscaloosa  plant and the entire supply- and manufacturing system NAFTA of the system supplier chassis at the launch of current  M-class model
  3. Project leadership for two green field plant in USA with industrialisation of an automatic transmission and axle differentials
  4. Leadership "power train & chassis" for local content, supply chain and the assembly line planning for the current C-class in South Africa
